The President and Founder of Opeyemi David Falegan Foundation, Hon. Opeyemi David Falegan, has announced the 2025 grand finale of the Foundation’s gas distribution programme in Ekiti State.
The exercise will take place across six locations in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, on Saturday, September 20, beginning at 8 a.m.
According to a press statement signed by his media aide, Comrade Adewumi Francis, thousands of civil servants are the primary beneficiaries of the palliative initiative.
Distribution will be carried out at Abound Gas stations located after the DSS office, Basiri; opposite Ekiti State Hospital, Adebayo; beside Phenrose Filling Station, Ajilosun; beside Sadiat Hotel, Ilawe Road; by NNPC, Poly Road; and at Upstilon Royal Global Oil and Gas Limited, Housing Estate Roundabout, Ado-Ekiti.
Falegan urged all civil servants to participate by presenting valid official identification cards and good gas cylinders, stressing that the programme is strictly for civil servants. He cautioned non-civil servants against attempting to access the venues.
He also warned political thugs to steer clear of the distribution points, emphasizing that the programme has no political undertone. To guarantee safety, he said adequate security, including the deployment of army personnel, has been arranged.
In a related event, Falegan disclosed that traders and market women in the state would also be empowered during a visitation tour following the gas distribution exercise.
