The Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, has pledged to step into the ongoing travails of Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, whose bank accounts remain frozen by the Federal Government.
Igboho, alongside some of his supporters, paid a visit to the monarch at his Bodija residence in Ibadan on Monday, where both men held a closed-door meeting that lasted about 40 minutes.
In a statement issued by Igboho’s media office on Wednesday, it was disclosed that the talks revolved around insecurity in the South-West, rising banditry in parts of Kwara State, and Igboho’s unresolved issues with the Federal Government.
According to the statement, the Olubadan assured that he would intervene on Igboho’s behalf, particularly on his designation as a wanted person and the freeze placed on his bank accounts.
