President Bola Tinubu has today met with the newly appointed Service Chiefs at the Presidential Villa, Abuja ,their first meeting with the President since their appointments last week.
The Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede was accompanied by the Chief of Army Staff, Major-General W. Shaibu; Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal S.K. Aneke; Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral I. Abbas; and the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Major-General E.A.P. Undiendeye.
President Tinubu had last week announced sweeping changes in the military hierarchy, naming General Oluyede to replace General Christopher Musa as Chief of Defence Staff.
The reshuffle, according to the presidency, was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s national security architecture.
