Popular Nollywood actor and comedian Jide Adegbite, widely known as “Miliki Daddy,” has added another academic feather to his cap, graduating with a Master’s degree in Computer and Information Science from Lead City University, Ibadan.
Adegbite, who bagged a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with Economics from Olabisi Onabanjo University over two decades ago, graduated with distinction on Wednesday, surrounded by family, friends, and well-wishers.
Speaking with journalists after the ceremony, the actor and event planner expressed pride in his achievement, urging others not to allow age, status, or financial constraints to deter them from pursuing their academic dreams.
“Despite funny talks by lots of people that I and one of my children are in the same institution, I was not discouraged because I am a goal-getter full of determination,” Adegbite said. “Learning is a continuous process. It wasn’t easy combining home front, career, business, and academics, but I was determined to graduate with distinction, and by God’s grace, I accomplished it.”
He also appealed to young people to focus on their studies, avoid exam malpractice, and shun social vices.
Adegbite’s research during the program included a paper titled “Behavioral Analysis Model for Enhancing Attendees’ Experiences in Events Through K-Clustering Technique,” reflecting his blend of entertainment expertise and tech knowledge.
He thanked God, his wife, children, family, and the Computer Science Department lecturers at Lead City University for their support throughout the program.
