Irepodun/Ifelodun LFC youth team stole the show with a stunning 7–0 thrashing of Ilejemeje LFC youth team, while Ikole LFC youth team delighted the home crowd with a convincing 5–0 win over Moba LFC youth team. Gbonyin/Aiyekire LFC youth team also secured a dominant 5–0 victory against Emure LFC youth team.
The day’s only balanced encounter came in the tournament opener, where Ido/Osi LFC youth team and Ekiti East LFC youth team battled to a thrilling 2–2 draw.
Hon. Bayo Omojola, Chairman of Ikole Local Government Area, officially inaugurated the competition, accompanied by the Chairperson of Ikole West LCDA, Hon. Mosun Adeyemo, and the Secretary to Ikole LGA, Mrs. Adenike Adebowale.
The tournament, hosted entirely in Ikole this year, honours the legacy of the legal luminary Professor Akin Oyebode and is sponsored by his family. It continues to serve as a vital platform for discovering emerging football talent across Ekiti State.
