Nigeria’s leading listed breweries recorded a combined revenue exceeding N1.54 trillion from beer and non-alcoholic beverage sales in the first nine months of 2025.

An analysis of unaudited financial statements for Nigerian Breweries Plc, International Breweries Plc, and Champion Breweries Plc reveals robust top-line growth, largely driven by beer sales across the three firms.

Nigerian Breweries Plc, the country’s largest brewer, reported net revenue of ₦1.05 trillion for the nine months ended September 30, 2025, a significant increase from N710.87 billion recorded in the same period of 2024.

After accounting for costs, the company achieved a profit after tax of ₦85.51 billion, a notable rebound from a loss of N149.50 billion a year earlier. Basic earnings per share rose to 275 kobo, compared to a loss per share of 1,455 kobo in the previous period.

The company had earlier signaled a return to profitability in the first quarter of 2025, announcing a 186% increase in net profit compared to Q1 2024.

International Breweries Plc, which operates across Nigeria and West Africa, posted revenue of N472.57 billion for the nine-month period, up from N343.45 billion in the corresponding period of 2024.
