The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Oyo state has announced a 50-day mobile voter enrollment program aimed at increasing registration in underserved communities ahead of future elections.
The state’s Resident Electoral Commissioner, Prof. Adeniran Rahmon Tella, disclosed this during a stakeholders’ meeting held on Tuesday at the INEC Collation Center in Ibadan.
According to Prof. Tella, the outreach, which will run from Monday, February 2, to Friday, April 10, 2026, will involve the rotational deployment of INEC Voter Enrollment Device (IVED) machines across all 351 registration areas in the state.
The commissioner urged collaboration from all stakeholders to ensure a smooth exercise and that the goal is to ensure no eligible voter is left behind.
He further clarified that the program is also open to voters with defaced or lost Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), those wishing to transfer their polling units, and individuals who have registered but not yet collected their PVCs.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the National Orientation Agency, the NYSC, political parties, security agencies, including the Army, Police, Immigration, DSS, Customs, and Correctional Services, as well as media organizations and the Inter-Party Advisory Council chairman, Otunba Fagbemi.

All stakeholders present pledged to support INEC in ensuring the success of the registration drive, particularly at the local government level.
