A governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Adewale Kareem is demanding that the state delivers stronger healthcare services, improved security architecture and more effective governance to meet the expectations of its citizens.
Kareem, who has indicated interest in contesting the 2027 governorship election, said he has developed a detailed policy framework aimed at addressing the pressing challenges facing the state.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by his media aide, Dayo Badmus, the aspirant said he had spent considerable time studying the developmental gaps in the state in order to design practical solutions that would drive progress.
According to Badmus, political stakeholders in the state are gradually moving beyond routine declarations by aspirants and are now focusing on issues such as party cohesion, electoral viability and the leadership capacity of those seeking office.
He explained that Kareem’s agenda would centre on strengthening security, improving healthcare delivery, reforming the education sector, empowering young people and expanding agricultural opportunities.
The statement added that the aspirant’s policy direction would also prioritise education reforms, economic diversification and the renewal of critical infrastructure across the state.
It further noted that the proposed administration would promote stronger institutional accountability while creating broader opportunities for youths and women.
“There is no doubt that Oyo State is facing challenges in several sectors,” the statement said.
