The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Fatai Tijani, has ordered a large-scale deployment of personnel and operational assets across the state ahead of the Easter celebrations.
In a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, Abimbola Adebisi, the police chief assured residents of adequate security before, during, and after the festivities.
According to him, the command has put in place a comprehensive and proactive security strategy to ensure a peaceful, safe, and hitch-free celebration across the state.
He added that officers and resources have been strategically deployed to key locations, including worship centres, recreational facilities, major highways, transportation hubs, and other critical public infrastructure to guarantee maximum security coverage.
The Commissioner also extended Easter greetings to Christians, urging them to reflect on the values of love, sacrifice, and peaceful coexistence associated with the season.
He reaffirmed the command’s commitment to protecting lives and property, while emphasizing the importance of community partnership in achieving effective policing.
