The Lagos State Government has announced temporary road closures ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled for Monday, April 6, 2026.

In a statement issued through the State Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, authorities disclosed that the closures are part of traffic management measures to ensure a smooth and safe carnival experience.

The affected roads include King George V Road at the junction by Mobil Filling Station, Onikan Roundabout inbound to TBS, Flagstaff House inbound to TBS, Outer Marina by State House inbound to TBS, Campbell Street by the Old Defence Building, and Catholic Mission Street by St. Nicholas Church.

All road closures will take effect from 7:00 a.m. on the day of the event.

Motorists and residents are advised to plan their movements accordingly and make use of alternative routes during the period.

The state government expressed regret over any inconvenience the closures may cause and appealed for public cooperation.
