Arsenal are reportedly in advanced negotiations with Leicester City over the signing of highly rated teenager Jeremy Monga.
The 16-year-old forward attracted interest from several clubs following his breakthrough into Leicester’s first team, with reports suggesting that as many as eight clubs were monitoring his situation.
Manchester United were among the clubs linked with the youngster, but Monga is believed to favour a move to Arsenal, who are looking to strengthen their squad after winning the Premier League title.
The North London club appears to have moved ahead of its rivals in the race for one of England’s most promising young talents.
Due to Monga’s age, the transfer could be subject to a tribunal decision, with the overall compensation package potentially exceeding £10 million.
Monga made seven Premier League appearances during Leicester City’s relegation campaign in the 2024/25 season before featuring regularly in the Championship.
During the most recent campaign, he recorded one goal and two assists in 27 league appearances.
His only senior goal came against Preston North End in August, a strike that saw him become the youngest goalscorer in Championship history.
