The Lagos State Police Command has uncovered an alleged child prostitution ring operating from a building within Idumota Market in Lagos Island.
The operation was led by the Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, resulting in the arrest of a 28-year-old woman identified as Princess Andrew.
She is accused of recruiting underage girls, reportedly between the ages of 13 and 15, for prostitution within the market area.
ACP Fatai said the suspect allegedly coordinated the movement and exploitation of the minors from the building where the illicit activities were said to be taking place.
The police said the discovery followed intelligence-led operations aimed at dismantling criminal networks exploiting vulnerable persons in the state.
