President Bola Tinubu is presiding over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, marking the council’s first session in more than two months.
Before the commencement of the meeting, the President administered the oath of office to two newly appointed Federal Commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
The commissioners are Amina Gamawa, representing Bauchi State, and Abdullahi Mukhtar, representing Kaduna State.
Speaking at the meeting, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, disclosed that the agenda also includes the swearing-in of newly appointed Federal Commissioners of the National Population Commission (NPC).
Vice President Kashim Shettima, members of the Federal Executive Council and other senior government officials are attending the meeting at the Council Chamber of the State House.
