Premier League champions Arsenal have made an impressive start to the new season, maintaining the momentum that carried them to their first league title in 22 years last campaign.
The Gunners secured their third consecutive victory on Sunday after recovering from a goal down to defeat big-spending Chelsea 2-1 in an entertaining London derby.
Having already overcome Coventry City and Aston Villa, Arsenal faced their first major test against a Chelsea side that has invested nearly £350 million in new players since the end of last season.
But Mikel Arteta’s side responded strongly, with Kai Havertz and captain Martin Odegaard finding the net to complete the comeback.
Havertz, who has been with Arsenal since 2023, and Odegaard, who joined the club in 2021, delivered when their team needed them most.
The result means Arsenal have taken all nine available points from their opening three matches while conceding just one goal.
Meanwhile, former Premier League winner Chris Sutton believes the champions have already established themselves as the team to beat.
“I can’t see anyone stopping Arsenal,” Sutton told BBC Sport.
