Supporters of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and its senatorial candidate for Ekiti North, Prince Funso Ayeni, have protested the alleged vandalisation of the candidate’s supporters’ office in Ido-Ekiti.
The office, located in Iloro, Ido-Ekiti, was reportedly vandalised on Friday night, with banners and other campaign materials allegedly damaged.
The supporters carrying placards and banners marched from the police station, usi road through to the affected office, calling for a free and fair electoral process before, during and after the Jan 2027 general elections.
Speaking on behalf of the protesters, the ADC Chairman in Ido-Osi Local Government, Chief Olusesan Olofin, said such acts undermine democracy describing the incident as “politics taken too far”, saying the era of brutality in politics should be over.
Chief Olofin further maintained that the incident would not discourage the supporters, adding that they remained committed to the ADC and its Senatorial Candidate, Prince Funso Ayeni.
