Industry leaders, hospitality professionals and stakeholders to gather in Ibadan on Independence Day for ‘The Hotel at the Centre’ conference
Industry leaders, hospitality professionals and key stakeholders are set to gather for The Jagz Hospitality Conference 2.0, themed “The Hotel at the Centre,” as Nigeria marks its Independence Day.
The conference, scheduled for Thursday, October 1, 2026, will examine the important intersections of money, elections and security within Nigeria’s hospitality landscape.
According to the organisers, Nigeria’s Independence Day is usually a time for reflection, a period for stakeholders across fields to assess the state of the country’s institutions, systems and businesses.
As hotels continue to serve as spaces for business, accommodation, political engagements and major gatherings, the conference will explore how hotels can strengthen their operations, protect their guests, support national development and remain responsible stakeholders in Nigeria’s economic and democratic future.
The event is billed to hold at The Jagz Hotel, 4, Simeon Adebo Street, Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oyo State, starting at 2:00 p.m.
Organisers say Glocient Hospitality will take the centre stage at the conference, which promises to bring together key voices from the hospitality sector and beyond.
“The hotel is at the centre. Glocient Hospitality takes the center stage!” the organisers said.
