Senator Cyril Fasuyi, representing Ekiti North Senatorial District, has called on residents of the district to uphold unity and contribute to the development of Ekiti State and Nigeria.
In an Independence Day message marking Nigeria’s 66th anniversary, Senator Fasuyi said the occasion should serve as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the country’s founding generation.
He said the anniversary was also an opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on the country’s progress, acknowledge existing challenges and renew their commitment to building a better future.
Senator Fasuyi urged the people of Ekiti North to maintain a spirit of togetherness and resilience, saying these values were important in addressing the challenges facing the state and the country.
He also called for greater commitment to good governance and excellence, urging citizens to play their part in strengthening Ekiti State and contributing to national development.
Senator Fasuyi wished the people of Ekiti North a happy Independence Day, while encouraging them to remain committed to the ideals of unity, progress and collective responsibility.
