Senator Cyril Fasuyi, representing Ekiti North Senatorial District, joined indigenes, residents, and guests over the weekend to celebrate the annual Odo-Oro Day.
The event featured cultural displays and a strong demonstration of community solidarity. Congratulating the community, Fasuyi described the gathering as a vital celebration of shared heritage, unity, and future aspirations. To support local development, the Senator made a monetary donation, provided a new borehole, and committed to installing solar-powered streetlights.
Following the celebration in Odo-Oro, Fasuyi visited Ijesa-Isu to pay homage to His Royal Majesty, Oba David Olusegun Adetunji, the Obanla of Ijesa-Isu.
During the visit, the Senator announced that a major development project for the town is currently at the proposal stage and will soon be implemented.
He also donated toward the completion of the Ijesa-Isu community hall. In response, the monarch offered royal blessings and pledged his backing for the Senator’s initiatives.
Fasuyi concluded his tour with a courtesy visit to former Ekiti State Deputy Governor, H.E. Paul Alabi, who extended his goodwill and blessings.
Highlighting party unity on the tour, Otunba Dare Owolabi, a senatorial aspirant in the party’s recent primary election, joined the entourage and reaffirmed his total support for Senator Fasuyi’s leadership and representation.
Also accompanying the Senator were Hon. Chief (Mrs.) Kemi Olaleye, Mr. Mufu Apata, and several key stakeholders.
Reflecting on the weekend’s engagements, Fasuyi reinforced a central message: political representation must stay deeply rooted in the community, foster unity, and consistently deliver tangible progress.
