According to him, the suspected cases were reported to the Adamawa State Public Health Emergency Operations Centre on October 30, 2026, after the two individuals presented symptoms requiring further investigation.
Idris said the individuals were immediately isolated, while relevant public health measures were activated to determine the cause of their illness.
He commended the Adamawa State Ministry of Health for its prompt response and assured residents that the NCDC would continue to provide technical support to strengthen disease surveillance and emergency response.
The NCDC Director-General further clarified that no Ebola case has been confirmed in Adamawa State, adding that the previously confirmed case in the Federal Capital Territory remains the only confirmed case in Nigeria.
