The Oyo State Government has announced that the 2025 Screening and Placement Exercise into Junior Secondary School One (JSS1) will hold on Thursday, July 17.
The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Olusegun Olayiwola, disclosed this to journalists on Wednesday, stating that the exercise will commence by 7 a.m. across designated centres in the state.
Olayiwola advised all participating pupils from public and approved private primary schools to arrive at the venues with their writing materials. He also directed principals and heads of centres to ensure proper organisation and effective monitoring throughout the process.
To uphold transparency, officials of the ministry and members of the Examination Ethics Committee will move around to supervise the screening.
The commissioner warned against examination malpractice and urged parents and guardians to avoid loitering around screening centres, noting that only candidates and authorised personnel will be granted access.
