Popular Nigerian airline, Air Peace, has announced it will begin direct flights from Abuja to both Heathrow and Gatwick airports in London starting October 26, 2025.
The development follows an earlier approval by the federal government to enhance connectivity between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
In a statement posted on its official Facebook page Air Peace said:
“The journey just got bigger and even better. We’re not just flying to London, we’re giving you more of London. Air Peace is now connecting Abuja to both Heathrow and Gatwick, expanding your options, your comfort, and your access to world-class travel.”
The new routes mean passengers departing Nigeria’s capital city will now have more flexibility and convenience when flying into the UK.
This announcement comes nearly three months after Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, approved the airline’s request to commence flight services from Abuja to London. The initial approval took effect on April 24.
