Amaechi Boasts He Can Defeat Tinubu in 2027 if Given ADC Ticket
Former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, says he is confident of unseating President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election but only if he emerges as the flagbearer of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Speaking during a live conversation on X Spaces, the former Rivers State governor claimed he knows President Tinubu “very well,” including his “strengths” and “weaknesses,” and believes these insights give him an edge.
“I know Tinubu very well. I know his strengths. I know his weaknesses. And I know that if allowed to fly the flag of ADC, I will defeat Tinubu for sure,” Amaechi declared.
He also distanced himself from electoral malpractice, challenging any politician “living or dead” to prove he had ever engaged in election rigging.
“All the appointments given to me by APC to join election planning committees, I refused to participate. There was no one I took part in. Why? Because I know what they discuss. I listen to them. I hear them. If I get the ticket, I will reveal those things,” he added.
