The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State says its membership base has surged to over 800,000, positioning it as one of the fastest-growing political forces in the state.
State Publicity Secretary, Luckyman Egila, disclosed the figures during a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Friday, describing the ADC as “a beautiful bride” attracting prominent political heavyweights.
Egila confirmed that two former governors; Rotimi Amaechi and Celestine Omehia, alongside former PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, had officially joined the party. Other high-profile members include Senator Lee Maeba and Senator Andrew Uchendu, who currently serves as ADC Vice Chairman for the South-South.
“We are a moving train because, politically, we don’t see anyone capable of stopping the ADC from clinching whatever ticket or office we want in Rivers State and Nigeria as a whole,” Egila declared.
He said the influx of top politicians was proof of the party’s growing influence ahead of future elections.
