The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, will on Sunday host a special thanksgiving service to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence anniversary.
According to a statement by the church, the service, themed “The King of kings”, will hold at RCCG’s national headquarters in Ebute-Metta, Lagos.
RCCG explained that the programme was inspired by divine instruction and would feature intercessory prayers for Nigeria and its leaders.
“Guided by divine direction, Pastor Adeboye will lead special prayers for government executives, legislators, politicians, electoral institutions, peacekeeping groups, political leaders, elder statesmen, students of political science, citizens’ rights organisations, and the Nigerian people at large,” the church said.
The church added that the event would serve as a solemn national intercession for peace, unity, and divine progress in the country.
Members of the public have been encouraged to attend and participate in what the church described as a spiritual moment of thanksgiving and supplication for Nigeria.
