Abba Atiku, son of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, has stated that no political party can defeat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, pledging his allegiance to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Speaking on Monday in Yola, Adamawa State, after collecting his APC membership card at Gwadabawa ward in Yola North Local Government Area, Abba said his decision to join the party was motivated by the current administration’s economic and developmental reforms.
“I want to make it very clear that nobody or any political party can stop President Bola Tinubu from returning to Aso Rock come 2027,” Abba told journalists.
He praised Tinubu’s leadership, describing him as a merit-driven leader. “Nigerians have seen his good work; he is not a tribalist, and he doesn’t make appointments based on religion or region, but his decisions are purely on merit,” he added.
Abba, who noted that he was inspired by widespread infrastructural growth and human capital development under Tinubu, framed his defection as a move to contribute to the administration’s national development agenda.
