Mexican-born Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o has opened up about her struggles with fibroids while advocating for uterine health.
The Hollywood actress had in 2025 revealed her condition and the treatment options she was on in an attempt to create awareness.
In her new post, she shared a photo of herself carrying fruits, which was symbolic of what the doctors had said about the size of the fibroids.
The Black Panther actress admitted that she came out to share her diagnosis because she wanted to create awareness and give courage to more women to share their stories.
