Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and his longtime partner, Chioma Rowland, have celebrated their union with a lavish white wedding in Miami, Florida, attended by top Nigerian celebrities, political heavyweights, and business leaders.
The high-profile event took place at the upscale Mana Wynwood Convention Center on Sunday, drawing a star-studded guest list that included billionaire Aliko Dangote, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, and socialite Obi Cubana.
Davido made a grand entrance in a custom white Lamborghini Revuelto, which he described as a personal gift to himself, while Chioma arrived in a white Rolls Royce, veiled and radiant in a traditional white wedding gown.
The singer’s groomsmen featured his manager Asa Asika, cousin B-Red, talent manager Ubi Franklin, and UFC champion Kamaru Usman. Other notable attendees included music stars Teni, Stonebwoy, Zlatan Ibile, and Hollywood actor Djimon Hounsou. Davido’s father, Adedeji Adeleke, led a host of high-profile guests to the ceremony.
The wedding service was officiated by Joseph Adebisi Ola, retired president of the Seventh Day Adventist Nigeria Union Mission; Tunde Ojewole, senior pastor of Lane Region Conference of Seventh Day Adventist, Indianapolis; and David Olubukola Ajide, senior pastor of Victory Sanctuary Seventh Day Adventist, Lekki, Lagos.
Recall that Davido proposed to Chioma in 2019, but their relationship faced turbulence in 2021 amid allegations of infidelity. In 2022, the couple suffered the loss of their first child, Ifeanyi. They officially married in March 2023, welcomed twins in October that year, and held their traditional wedding in June 2024.
Earlier in the week, the couple arrived in Florida via private jet decorated with flowers and a chair labeled “MRS” for Chioma. Davido disclosed that the Miami wedding cost over $3.7 million, describing it as the perfect culmination of their love story.
