The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Ufoma Joseph Immanuel, managing director and chief executive officer of Chappal Energies, wanted over alleged involvement in obtaining money by false pretence and forgery.
The anti-graft agency, in a public notice issued on Wednesday, said Immanuel, 46, is being sought in connection with a financial fraud case.
“The public is hereby notified that UFOMA JOSEPH IMMANUEL, whose photograph appears above, is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in an alleged case of Obtaining Money by False Pretence and Forgery,” the statement read.
Immanuel, an indigene of Edo State, was last traced to 77 Nelson Mandela Street, Maitama, Abuja.
The EFCC is calling on members of the public with credible information on his whereabouts to contact any of its offices nationwide, including those in Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt and the headquarters in Abuja.
