Nigerian rapper and actor Falz and Moroccan-Senegalese actress Liliane Maroune have been unveiled as the official hosts for the ninth edition of the All Africa Music Awards.
The announcement was made by the awards organisers in a statement on Monday, confirming the duo will lead proceedings at the continental event scheduled to hold from January 7 to 11, 2026, in Lagos.
Falz, whose real name is Folarin Falana, becomes only the second Nigerian to host the ceremony after music legend 2Baba, who co-hosted the inaugural edition in 2014. Over the years, AFRIMA has featured a notable list of hosts drawn from across Africa and the diaspora, including Akon, Bonang Matheba, and Ahmed Soultan.
The 2026 awards, organised in partnership with the African Union Commission and the Lagos State Government, will operate under the theme “Unstoppable Africa.”
