The Federal Government says it has completed a comprehensive review of curricula for basic, senior secondary and technical education, a reform it describes as key to making Nigerian learners “future-ready.”
The Ministry of Education disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, signed by its Director of Press and Public Relations, Boriowo Folasade.
According to the statement, the Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Ahmad, unveiled the new curricula in Abuja on behalf of the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Alausa.
Ahmad explained that the review was conducted in partnership with major education stakeholders, including the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC), the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), the National Senior Secondary Education Commission (NSSEC), and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
The minister said the reforms are designed to better align teaching and learning with global standards, while also addressing Nigeria’s developmental priorities.
