Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Naziru Bello Kankarofi has ordered immediate deployment of security personnel to safeguard stranded passengers at the Ajaokuta station.
Kankarofi stated this while conducting an on‑the‑spot assessment of the derailed train at Adogo, Ajaokuta local government area of Kogi State.
The police chief met with the Nigerian Railway Corporation management and site, expressing his determination to work in synergy with other security agencies to protect lives and property across the State.
Describing the incident as unfortunate, the CP also deployed additional security to secure the people and facilities while monitoring the evacuation of all passengers.
Kankarofi reaffirmed the Command’s readiness to safeguard the lives and property in the State.
