A 24-year-old salesgirl has been stabbed by unidentified hoodlums in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.

DAILY POST gathered that the victim identified as Sheba Simon was stabbed while on her way home..

It was also learnt that the incident happened on Sunday, April 28, 2024, around 9:30 pm near Damaturu Academy in Malari Bye Pass.

DAILY POST gathered that the victim identified as Sheba Simon was stabbed while on her way home..

It was also learnt that the incident happened on Sunday, April 28, 2024, around 9:30 pm near Damaturu Academy in Malari Bye Pass.

A source, who craved anonymity, said residents of the area alerted security operatives when the victim was discovered in the pool of her blood.

Other credible sources also stated that Sheba was ambushed and stabbed in the back with a knife by the unknown attackers who later snatched her phone during the incident.

She was said to have been taken to the Specialist Hospital in Damaturu for medical treatment and is currently responding to treatment.

Meanwhile, Yobe State Police Command has confirmed the incident in a statement issued by its Public Relations Officer, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim and made available to newsmen.

The Command while frowning at the violent act, said it has deployed all available means to arrest the perpetrators of the attack and bring them to book.

The Command also advised residents to always report suspicious movements of persons, vehicles or objects to the nearest police station or any security agency or formation for necessary action.
