The African action congress in Lagos state has unveiled a new executive committee , following the expiration of the tenure of the previous leadership led by former chairman Ayoyinka Oni
In his speech at the state congress on saturday, October 18, the former state chairman of the party, Ayoyinka Oni said the party under his leadership has recorded unprecedented achievements, in line with the ideologies of the party.
Ayoyinka who had worked closely with other executives, proudly stated that his legacy was that of integrity and transparency, having never received a bribe or “gift” by the virtue of his position, through out his tenure.
On the subject of massive defections from opposition parties to the ruling all progressive congress, Oni insisted that the AAC will not join the band wagon.
He further submitted that the mass defection to the APC will have no effect on the outcome of the 2027 general lections, if the public will hold politicians accountable by actively participating in the electoral process.
After being declared as the new state chairman by representatives of the independent national electoral commisison, INEC, Samson Olarenwaju, assured that the party will remain the voice of the ordinary Nigerian against corruption and oppression.
The new chairman however urged party members not to relent in the struggle for a better nation, noting that a united front cannot be silenced
