The Lagos State Government has commenced repair works on failed asphalt sections of the ramp and service lane linking Inner Marina to Apongbon Bridge.
The repairs carried out by the Federal Ministry of Works, will see sections of the affected roads temporarily closed to ensure the safety of motorists and allow for the smooth execution of the repair works.
Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, said the rehabilitation of the Apongbon service lane will last for six weeks, beginning from today to Thursday, 19 March 2026.
For inbound traffic, motorists from Inner Marina are advised to divert through the Apongbon under-bridge roundabout, Adeniji Adele Road, Ebute Ero, and the ramp to Apongbon/Eko Bridge.
Vehicles coming from TBS, Third Mainland Bridge, and Victoria Island will connect through Apongbon Bridge to Eko Bridge.
On the outbound side, traffic from Eko Bridge to Inner Marina will be diverted through Ebute Ero Ramp, Adeniji Adele Road, and the Apongbon under-bridge roundabout, while traffic to Outer Marina, Victoria Island, and Third Mainland Bridge will maintain movement or use designated diversion routes.
The government urged motorists to remain patient and comply with traffic management measures throughout the duration of the project.
