The Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, has launched a dedicated anti-crime patrol operation along the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Road to curb all forms of criminal activity along the corridor.
As part of the initiative, four specialised patrol teams have been strategically deployed for 24-hour surveillance to ensure continuous visibility policing and enhanced rapid response capability.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Abimbola Adebisi, said the deployment complements the several patrol vehicles that have been stationed along the highway since December 2025.
According to Abimbola, the operation further reinforces security presence and strengthens efforts to safeguard commuters and residents along the corridor.
It was earlier reported that some miscreants had taken over parts of the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Road corridor, perpetrating criminal activities and engaging in illegal businesses.
