Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) says it has sealed off several establishments in Ikorodu, for repeated offenses such as noise pollution and other environmental breaches.
General Manager of LASEPA Babatunde Ajayi, in a statement explained that the move is part of a wider effort to restore environmental sanity and enforce strict compliance with laws meant to safeguard residents from harmful practices.
He further urged residents and business operators to adhere to environmental standards, warning that the agency will maintain its zero-tolerance policy.
Babatunde, who assured that the agency is committed to protecting the environment and ensuring public health, noted that the enforcements were not to witch hunt but to deter violations and promote a cleaner, healthier Lagos.
