The organizing committee for the Prof Akin Oyebode Cup 2025 has announced a compulsory pre-tournament screening and player verification for all participants. The exercise is scheduled for Wednesday, December 17th, 2025, ahead of the competition’s opening matches.
Officials have instructed all teams to arrive early, as the screening will begin promptly at 8:00 AM. A key directive from the committee urges teams to “bring enough players” to the venue. This measure is designed to ensure coaches have an adequate pool of athletes from which to finalize their 21-man squads after the physical assessments.
The committee issued a strict warning regarding participation, emphasizing that attendance at the screening is non-negotiable. “Any player who is not physically present on that day will not be allowed to take part in the competition,” the organizers stated firmly.
