The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has commenced a nationwide registration exercise for new members, inviting Nigerians at home and abroad to join the party ahead of its upcoming national convention.
The exercise, now underway, is supported by a digital platform designed to simplify the registration process and widen participation across the country and in the diaspora.
In a statement, the Ondo State Chairman of the party, Kennedy Ikantu Peretei, called on Nigerians to take advantage of the opportunity, saying the party is focused on policies that address the welfare of citizens.
He urged interested individuals to register and contribute to shaping the country’s political direction.
Peretei also encouraged broader civic participation, noting that democracy requires active involvement from citizens rather than passive observation.
The registration drive is expected to run until May 5, 2026, when it will close ahead of the party’s national convention.
The NDC said the exercise is part of its efforts to expand its base and strengthen its presence across Nigeria.
