The Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) has announced the postponement of its 2025 All Nigeria Editors Conference, shifting the event to November 12–13, 2025.
According to the Guild, the new dates were chosen following President Bola Tinubu’s confirmation to attend the conference as Special Guest of Honour and to officially declare it open on November 12 in Abuja.
The NGE, a premier professional association comprising Managing Directors, Directors of News, and Editors from print, broadcast, online, and news agency platforms across Nigeria, disclosed this in a statement jointly signed by its President, Eze Anaba, and General Secretary, Onuoha Ukeh, on Friday.
The statement explained that the adjustment became necessary due to circumstances beyond the Guild’s control, noting that preparations are already underway to ensure a successful and impactful gathering.
The annual conference serves as the largest editorial convergence in Nigeria, providing a platform for media leaders to discuss national issues, ethical standards, and the evolving landscape of journalism in the digital era.
The Guild expressed appreciation to its members and partners for their understanding and continued support ahead of the rescheduled event.
