The Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles, landed in Fès, Morocco, on Thursday, intensifying their quest to secure a spot in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The delegation, led by coach Eric Chelle, arrived aboard a chartered flight from Cairo, Egypt, where the squad had been holding a training camp since Monday.
Upon their arrival in the historic city, the three-time African champions were seen sporting elegant green traditional kaftans with intricate floral embroidery and matching caps. The team was transported to their official residence, a hotel situated in the city’s mountainous outskirts, where they settled in with a light lunch before commencing preparations.
The Eagles held their first training session on Thursday evening, with a light schedule beginning at 6 PM local time. This session marks the start of their on-ground preparations ahead of their critical upcoming qualifiers.
Nigeria is scheduled to play the Benin Republic in Fès on Monday, March 24th, before facing Rwanda later in the international window.
