The Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, has rewarded Mr. Solanke Francis Taiwo, a primary school teacher at Ansa-Ur-Deen Main School I, Abeokuta, for emerging as the Overall Best Primary School Teacher in Nigeria for the 2025/2026 academic session.
In recognition of his outstanding achievement, the governor presented him with a two-bedroom bungalow under the state’s housing scheme, to be located in an area of his choice.
He was also handed the keys to a brand-new car donated by the Federal Government, in addition to the ₦50 million cash prize earlier awarded to him at the National Teachers’ Summit held in Abuja.
Governor Abiodun said the recognition underscores his administration’s commitment to sustained investment in the education sector, particularly in teacher welfare, training, digitisation, and innovation.
According to him, consistent reforms and strategic interventions in education are already yielding measurable results across the state.
He reaffirmed that his government would continue to empower teachers and learners, reward excellence, and position Ogun State as a national benchmark in education.
The governor added that as long as his administration remains in office, hard work, dedication, and exceptional performance will always be acknowledged and celebrated.
