The Olubadan-designate of Ibadanland, Oba Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, has pledged to swiftly fill any vacant positions in the traditional Olubadan chieftaincy line once he ascends the throne.
Ladoja made this known while receiving the Asipa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Abiodun Kola-Daisi, at his residence in Lagos.
In a statement released by his media aide, Adeola Oloko, the former governor of Oyo State expressed his commitment to upholding the customs and structure of the ancient city’s revered chieftaincy system.
“I will not delay the filling of any vacant positions in the Olubadan line,” Ladoja affirmed.
He also used the occasion to mourn the passing of the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, whose death was announced while Ladoja was away from Ibadan.
