Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to continued infrastructural development in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, promising that ongoing projects like the flyover will be followed by extensive upgrades to internal roads and other urban facilities.
He made this pledge at the 2025 Udiroko Festival held at the palace of the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe, where he also praised the monarch for his unwavering support.
Addressing concerns about federal road conditions, Oyebanji cautioned against politicising the issue, acknowledging the poor state of the Ado-Aramoko-Itawure road but emphasising that not all challenges can be tackled at once. He defended President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to the state, highlighting the ongoing construction of the Ado-Ikere-Akure and Ado-Ijan-Iluomoba roads as evidence of federal attention.
The governor urged patience, stating that efforts are ongoing to secure more interventions while reminding critics that two major federal roads are already under construction, which he sees as a sign of the President’s goodwill toward Ekiti State.
Similarly, the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe, In his remarks called on Nigerians to remain patient with the federal government’s tough policy decisions noting that although the economic challenges are biting, the reforms are aimed at delivering long-term prosperity and national stability.
