The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Oyo State has announced the public display of the Preliminary Voters Register from December 15 to 21, 2025, in all 33 Local Government Areas of the state.
In a press release signed by the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Prof. Rahmon Adeniran Tella, the commission said the exercise is part of its commitment to ensuring a transparent and credible electoral process.
The display, which will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, will enable registered voters to verify their details, report errors, and raise objections against ineligible entries, including underage or deceased registrants.
According to INEC, the preliminary register will be printed on December 13–14, 2025, ahead of the week-long display. All complaints received during the exercise are to be processed and corrections effected by December 21.
The commission also announced that the second phase of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) will resume on January 5, 2026, offering another opportunity for eligible citizens yet to be captured in the database.
INEC called on political parties, traditional rulers, civil society groups, and community leaders to mobilize residents to participate actively in the verification process, describing it as “a shared responsibility” to safeguard the integrity of the voter register.
Voters are advised to visit their respective LGA INEC offices with valid identification to confirm their registration status and submit claims or objections using official forms provided at the centers.
For further clarification, the public may contact the Oyo State INEC office or any of its LGA offices.
