Precious Cornerstone University (PCU), Ibadan, is set to graduate 143 students at its 4th Convocation and 7th Founder’s Day Ceremony, with 14 of them earning First Class honours.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Timothy Olubisi Adejumo, made the announcement during a press briefing ahead of the ceremony, noting that 65 students will graduate with Second Class Honours (Upper Division), 47 with Second Class Honours (Lower Division), and 17 with Third Class.
He also revealed that Lawal Eniola Kolawole, from the Department of Physical Sciences (Computer Science), Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, emerged as the Overall Best Graduating Student with an impressive Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.84 out of 5.0.
Highlighting activities lined up for the event, the VC announced that the Convocation Lecture will be delivered by Apostle Joshua Selman, Senior Pastor of Koinonia Global, among other commemorative programmes.
Prof. Adejumo described PCU as a key player in Nigeria’s higher education landscape, noting that the institution continues to distinguish itself through academic excellence, innovative research, and character-driven learning.
“Precious Cornerstone University is living up to its billing as an emerging force among citadels of learning and a destination of choice where cutting-edge research and product development tailored to address societal needs have become a culture,” he said.
He added that the convocation ceremony represents another milestone in the university’s journey towards fulfilling its vision of producing well-rounded, future-ready graduates with intellectual depth, leadership qualities, entrepreneurial drive, and godly character.
The 4th Convocation and 7th Founder’s Day celebrations, according to the management, will reaffirm PCU’s commitment to academic excellence and societal impact.
