The 4th edition of the Prof. Akin Oyebode Cup will officially commence on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the newly refurbished Ikole Township Stadium, organizers have announced.
All matches of the grassroots football competition will be played on the stadium’s state-of-the-art AstroTurf pitch, providing a high-quality and centralized venue for teams, fans, and talent scouts.
A representative of the Organizing Committee expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming tournament, stating, “We are thrilled to confirm the December 17th start date. The use of the newly laid AstroTurf ensures the highest standard of play for our young athletes.
This year’s competition is set to be a proper football fiesta, celebrating talent and community development across Ekiti State.”
The official tournament draws were held earlier today, finalizing the fixtures ahead of next month’s kickoff.
Teams, supporters, and football enthusiasts are urged to prepare for an exciting display of grassroots talent as the competition gets underway later this December.
