Nigeria secured a 2–1 victory over Iran in an international friendly played at the Mardan Sports Complex in Antalya, Türkiye.
The Super Eagles delivered a strong performance, taking control early and maintaining their lead despite a late push from their opponents.
The Super Eagles opened the scoring in the sixth minute when Moses Simon finished from the centre of the box after a well-worked pass from Samuel Chukwueze.
Nigeria extended their advantage shortly after the restart in the 51st minute, as Akor Adams fired home from close range following an assist from Ademola Lookman.

Iran responded in the 67th minute through Mehdi Taremi, whose goal sparked hopes of a comeback.

Both sides made several substitutions as the match progressed, with Nigeria introducing Paul Onuachu, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Chidera Ejuke, and Frank Onyeka to maintain their edge, while Iran reshuffled in search of an equaliser.
Nigeria held on to secure the win and will now turn their attention to their next friendly match against Jordan, scheduled for Tuesday, March 31.
