The Peoples Democratic Party in the Southwest zone has lauded Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde on his 58th birthday, describing him as a leader dedicated to the welfare of the people.
In a congratulatory statement issued on Wednesday in Ado Ekiti, the party’s Southwest Publicity Secretary, Chief Sanya Atofarati, praised Makinde’s leadership and reaffirmed the zone’s support for his administration.
“The Southwest PDP extends its warmest congratulations to the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on the auspicious occasion of his 58th birthday,” Atofarati said.
“As he marks this milestone, the Southwest PDP reaffirms its unalloyed loyalty and total support for Governor Makinde’s leadership, while wishing him continued good health, greater wisdom, and renewed vigour as he continues to serve the people, strengthen democracy, and advance the ideals of our great party.”
Makinde, who turned 58 on December 25, 2025, has been a prominent figure in the PDP, especially following his role in the party’s G-5 faction during the 2023 general elections.
