President Bola Tinubu has appointed Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani as Renewed Hope Ambassador and Deputy Director-General for Outreach, Engagement and Mobilisation of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was announced in a statement on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
According to the statement, Sani was selected in recognition of his leadership qualities and organisational capacity. In his new role, the governor is expected to work closely with the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassador initiative and the APC leadership, particularly the party’s national chairman.
The presidency said the core objective of the appointment is to deepen public awareness and understanding of the party’s programmes and candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“The overall objective of your appointment is to ensure that the entire citizenry is aware of, understands, and ultimately supports our party and its candidates at all levels for broad national acceptance in the 2027 election,” the statement read.
It added that early preparation would be key to achieving that goal, with Sani’s leadership central to coordinating strategic mobilisation efforts nationwide.
The governor is also expected to promote and communicate the party’s policies, achievements and milestones, reinforcing the Renewed Hope agenda and strengthening public confidence in the APC’s programmes.
