The Oyo State Fire Service has recovered the bodies of two men from separate deep wells in different parts of the state. The victims were identified as 30-year-old Shina Adedeji and an unnamed 45-year-old man.

According to a statement on Tuesday from Moroof Akinwande, Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Fire Reforms and Chairman of the State Fire Service, Adedeji fell into a well in the Aaje Ikose area of Ogbomoso on Tuesday. The second man died while trying to rescue a goat from a well in the Mokola area of Saki on Monday.

Akinwande detailed the response to the Saki incident, explaining that the agency received a distress call at 10:23 p.m. on Monday. Fire officers, led by PFS II Kolade Taiwo, promptly mobilized to the scene and discovered the man trapped inside the deep well.
